Parents and grandparents are the most powerful influencers of their children in the ways of faith and values. With this in mind, we surveyed and spoke to more than 100 parish families to determine the tools they need to share and grow faith within the family.
Listed below are some of the tools they found to be important:
Prayer: Daily individual and family prayer will grow stronger faith roots.
The Amen app is a free app which offers you daily prayers, readings and reflections. It also has a prayer tool to help deal with various situations such as anxiety and courage. The Divine Mercy website offers "Gospel Picnic," a series created by the Marian Fathers. It's a faith-filled adventure for children and families. A new episode is available every Wednesday, where Fr. Growing with the Gospel Booklet: You can do the activity/activities as a family or your child can do them alone.
Most weeks we will offer a booklet that you can print. The booklet is a fun activity to do after mass to reinforce that week’s readings and gospel. The activities will vary and may include coloring, word puzzles, good deeds and more. Download the booklet here.
