Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are often referred to as Eucharistic Ministers. They assist with the distribution of Holy Communion (body & blood) at masses during the Saturday vigil mass, Sunday masses, and Holy Days of Obligation. Extraordinary Ministers also assist with the distribution of ashes on Ash Wednesday.
Our Eucharistic Ministers have made their First Holy Communion and are usually adults. We train new Eucharistic Ministers throughout the year.

Lectors
Lectors, also known as readers, are called to proclaim the Word of God at all masses (weekdays and weekends). We understand that some people cannot be readers during weekday masses and we understand that some people prefer a particular weekend mass. While flexibility is very helpful to us, we can and do accomodate schedules.
Our Lectors have made their First Holy Communion and are usually adults. We train new Lectors throughout the year.

Sacristans

Before and after their scheduled mass, Sacristans prepare the church or parish center for the mass. They monitor the supplies that are needed during mass and keep our sacred vessels and linens in beautiful condition.

Ushers
Ushers serve during Sunday masses, Saturday vigil masses and Holy Days throughout the year. Ushers can select one or more mass times to usher.
Ushers are usually the first line of contact for visitors and new members. They are part of the welcoming committee that greets our parishioners and guests with a warm hello, a smile and helps them to find a place to sit.
Ushers take the offetory collection. They also make sure a family is found to bring the gifts forward at the offertory. Ushers are also responsible for maintaining the flow of people coming forward to receive Holy Communion.
